If the world is managing the Corona crisis, I ask why it has come to us. It has common causes with the climate crisis, e.g. we fly too much. Wild animals, livestock and animal products are transported around the globe. Another reason is factory farming, e.g.  swine flu, bird flu, or Spanish flu. We humans are claiming more and more wildlife habitats for ourselves. Environmental degradation affects natural species communities. As a result, contact between wildlife, livestock and humans is increasing. The Corona crisis shows that humanity has reached a turning point, it must preserve the remaining natural areas. Otherwise the pandemics will repeat themselves.

The response of the states shows that with strong crisis action, containment of the Corona crisis is possible. This is exactly what we need for the climate crisis. The viewer is an actor at the counter who can influence both crises.

What crisis?

What crisis? Watercourse. In the end, people, animals, house sink. 2019, Berlin
What crisis? Object: light, aquarium, clay, water, pump, model house, cars, people, animals. Watercourse. In the end, people, animals, house sink. 2019, Berlin.

A vision of the present. The vision became real in 2021, unfortunately.

Politicians seem concerned, speak of insight.
You manage disaster politically.
But what measures are those responsible taking more seriously and more consistently against the cause of the climate crisis?
What else has to happen for us to take the wake-up call seriously, for politics to wake up, for the voters to go on like this?
We do not take the risks seriously and cling to our fossil fuel habits.
These deluges will be repeated and even stronger, here and becausewide. The energy turnaround with the move away from fossil fuels to renewables must come much faster.

Stone, tin, e-scrap and plastic from short-life toaster

The lower stone represents the time before mankind. Humanity shows up in the flattened layer of tin, plastic, electronic junk from an inferior toaster that only worked for a short time. The upper stone represents the geological development of the planet earth, which passed over the phase of mankind. What remains of man are his layers of recyclables.
